Dry eye sufferers often require frequent instillations of artificial tears, resulting in significant inconvenience in daily life. Our Innovation Lab has responded to this need by developing ERISnp®, an innovative formulation that offers more effective and longer-lasting relief.
ERISnp® combines highly concentrated polyphenols extracted from Perilla frutescens, liposomes and hyaluronic acid. The key to its effectiveness lies in the nanoparticle technology, which allows it to remain on the ocular surface for up to 16 hours, as demonstrated by rigorous in vivo studies.

iTRAB®
iTRAB®: New Formulation for Therapeutic Support in Glaucoma
As part of our ongoing commitment to ophthalmic innovation, Eye Pharma’s Innovation Lab has collaborated with prestigious research institutes to address the challenges of glaucoma. This joint effort has resulted in the creation of iTRAB®, an advanced formulation offering a new approach as an adjunct to hypotonic therapy
Our research focused on the role of oxidative stress in glaucoma progression, leading to the development of an optimised formulation combining highly concentrated polyphenols (≥2.5%) with 0.25% sodium hyaluronate

MixAFA®: An Innovative Composition for Nutritional Support of Visual Function
Eye Pharma’s Innovation Lab also explores the potential of nutrition for visual health. Our research in this field has resulted in the development of MixAFA®, a patented nutritional composition specifically designed for the prevention of myopia.

C-Arriva
C-Arriva: A synergistic formulation based on Hyaluronic Acid and Red Orange Extract to be taken orally
At Eye Pharma, our research is constantly oriented towards identifying synergistic and innovative solutions to counter degenerative processes and promote well-being. This vision has resulted in C-Arriva, a patented formulation that combines the antioxidant power of blood orange with the regenerative action of hyaluronic acid.
“C-Arriva”: The key feature of this formulation lies in the use of high molecular weight (1 million Da) pure hyaluronic acid, specifically selected for its high oral bioavailability.
- Pure Hyaluronic Acid: Effective Absorption and Systemic Benefits: “From the age of 25, the endogenous production of hyaluronic acid tends gradually to decrease. The formulation of C-Arriva uses pure hyaluronic acid, processed to ensure a high absorption rate in the intestine. Studies show that oral intake of this type of hyaluronic acid can distribute up to 90 per cent throughout the body, helping to hydrate and support various tissues, from joints to skin and the vitreous humour.”
- Enhanced Synergy: Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C: The combination with a standardised blood orange extract, rich in vitamin C and other powerful antioxidants, creates a unique functional synergy. Vitamin C is an essential cofactor for the normal synthesis of collagen, a structural protein essential for healthy skin, cartilage and blood vessels. Vitamin C also contributes significantly to protecting cells against oxidative stress, a key factor in degenerative processes. This essential nutrient is involved in countless cell processes, including the proper functioning of the immune system, enhancing the protective and regenerative action of hyaluronic acid.
- Efficacy tests conducted by the Italian Institute of Technology: The efficacy of C-Arriva has been scientifically evaluated by the prestigious Italian Institute of Technology (IIT). In vitro tests conducted on human skin fibroblasts demonstrated the significant cytoprotective, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of the formulation, supporting its potential in counteracting cell damage, and inflammation and oxidative stress in the skin.
- Complete Support for Joints, Skin and Eyesight: The synergy between highly bioavailable hyaluronic acid and the blood orange antioxidant complex with vitamin C offers comprehensive health support. The efficacy and synergy of C-Arriva have been proven by our studies and by tests conducted by the IIT, leading to the filing and obtaining of a patent for this innovative composition.
Regenera®
Therapeutic Ionic Contact Lenses for Eye Dressing and Drug Delivery
Eye Pharma works constantly to develop innovative solutions that improve treatment and post-operative recovery in eye diseases. This has resulted in the REGENERA project, a therapeutic ionic contact lens, in a tested and patented innovation that combines the protection of a bandage with the ability to deliver drugs effectively.
REGENERA is specifically designed to be soaked in Aloe vera. This unique combination allows the antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties of Aloe vera to be exploited directly on the ocular surface, while acting as a protective bandage.
- Effective Protective Bandage: It protects the corneal surface in the event of surgery, trauma and injury, promoting healing.
- Soothing and re-epithelizing action: Aloe vera prevents eye irritation, soothes and supports the regeneration of the corneal epithelium, even with prolonged use
- Optimised administration of eye drops: The ionic nature of the lens allows effective passage of medicated eye drops, enabling medication to be administered without the need to remove the lens.
- Customised therapy: It can be adapted to any ongoing or necessary drug therapy in the post-operative course, optimising the treatment of the ocular surface.
- Broad Spectrum of Applications: Useful in post-surgery care (trabeculectomy, cross-linking, refractive surgery, corneal transplantation, etc.) and non-surgical conditions (trauma, corneal abrasions, keratitis, ulcers, ocular surface dystrophies).
REGENERA constitutes a customised medical approach, simplifying the post-operative management and treatment of various ocular pathologies, allowing the ocular surface to be protected while optimising drug therapy. Its effectiveness has been tested and its innovative composition is patent-protected.”

Glaucoma Project (Glaucotest)
A New Early Diagnostic Approach
We also want to bring innovation into the field of diagnostics. That is why we are creating a system that can support an accurate diagnosis of glaucoma by supplementing the data available to the doctor with other, more in-depth examinations (e.g. aqueous humour analysis)
Open-angle glaucoma (POAG) is a progressive and often asymptomatic condition that can cause irreversible visual impairment. To meet the need for early and accurate diagnosis, Eye Pharma, in collaboration with leading research centres, is developing a new diagnostic approach based on aqueous humour analysis.
The Glaucotest project aims to identify and quantify a specific biomarker protein present in the aqueous humour, the presence/absence of which could allow earlier diagnosis of the disease, enabling therapy to be activated before the onset of irreversible damage
